nope....all c4's and c5's are basically the same, as far as tailshafts go. The only difference is the weird "shorty" c4s that have a really short shaft and housing...and they also have a roller bearing in the housing, as well as requiring a weird yoke. I have one out back...but don't have my camera handy.

They're easy to spot. Anyone know what they fit (the 'weird' ones)

Frank, I know nuttin bout automatics. But an ole boy told me one time, never throw away old parts. That I have learned well. In my experience with trannys I have found little differences in speedo changes. A couple have changed, but not by much. I would put it together and check it on one of those radar displays they use for speed zone enforcement. Also, if the tailshafts are different, will you have to change the driveshaft yoke?

Frank what they are refering to (I assume) is the speedo tooth count on the output shaft like a 7 or 8 tooth.Anyway it goes you can always just change the pencil gear (the plastic gear on the speedo cable) to recaliberate. I dought you would notice the differance though........I hope I helped:)
