Mavericks across America as of 04-12-04

I just don't have the time to devote to this, all the time that it needs. So Paul McDowell (macinak) has offered to take over the main organization of the Mavericks across America. So if you hear from Paul you will know what's going on. I'm still involved, but Paul has made a major commitment to keeping Mavericks across America going.
John Ford has donated one of his Maverick calenders so we can mark down when,where and who of, the photos were taken. At the end of the event I would like to have a raffle to see who gets to keep the calender. All who participate will have a chance to win the calender. (I'll have my 6yr old pull names from a hat.
Frank Cooper started last week by taking a picture of his car at the Georgia coast. He is taking the camera to the Georgia mini meet in Atlanta on April 17th. I've heard that Jerry Olivis from Tuscumbia,AL is going to take the camera from the event, but I haven't been able to confirm that(Jerry???)
Mac could you please post the map,and the list of names here for everyone to see? Thanks Russ

Mavericks across America

Thanks Russ and Stefan.....
There have been some people let me know of planned mini meets and if you are planning one please let me know so I can post it so no one is left out of this opportunity to participate in this very FIRST Mavericks across America.
I have a list of about 60 names on the map, but some information is missing. I'll post the list and if your name is missing or incorrect please....CONTACT RUSS... as my email security does not allow mail through unless sender is already in my address book.
From each meet/event a camera will be forwarded to (not sure yet ) 1 person so all the pictures are all together. I was thinking about putting the pictures on 1 or 2 CDs made available to members. I don't have that skill, so if someone would like to volunteer.?????

hopefully most of us texas guys can have a mini meet, maybe we can find middle ground and who ever has the best running vehicle(s) and the most time can relay it to the next person. that way when its our turn we can all get together.

Compiling Photos on a CD

I would be willing to compile the pics onto CDs. I have cable internet service, so photos can be easily emailed to me or the cameras can be mailed to me, and I can have them developed at Walmart onto a CD, and then I can compile them and then burn them on to CDs.

Just let me know what you guys think.

That sounds good to me........if you want to post address, then all cameras can be sent to you. From what I know now, they can start coming in soon with September being the last meet so far.

If anyone is planning any meet, PLEASE let me know so I can get a camera to you. It's important to include as many (all) people as we can. When all the meets are done; we'll see if we can send volunteer individuals with a camera to meet up with those that couldn't attend a meet. This MaA will only be as good as it is planned I'd appreciate any ideas U care 2 share

Summer is here, and everyone should have their cars out of moth balls by now.

So, anyone have an update on "Mavericks across America"?

 

I have the camera and calendar to sent to Jerry Olivis, in Alabama. I will have it to him this week.
