    Maverick Resto Update....PICTURES NOW!!

Hello all. It's going, going slow, but that's because I told them to do it over a year's time.

As of right now, ALL the chrome has been stripped from My maverick, and taken in for re-chroming. Soon, they will degrease the mav, then I'll go in, and rob it of it's old drivetrain.

I'm working on the engine combo, and I believe I'm going to go with the gt40p heads, that will be mated to a rebuilt 86 roller block with keith block valve notched pistons, and an unknown cam. I was going to go efi, but will save that project for later, for financial reasons.

WIll update with pics when i go out next to see it.

ok guys, here are some crappy pics. They got started on the bodywork!! To be honest, the body is pretty damn clean, with no surprise rust spot, other than a little in the corners.

unfortunately, they started on the OEM hood, and I wanted them to do a grabber hood I have, so we'll see what happens with that.

I'll get better pics later tonight

no, no rust work yet, however, he said all the bodywork will likely be done this week, and primered by next week, so they can begin to take everything apart, then break it down to the finer level. They're gonna pull the interior after that, then me the drivetrain, then spray every nook and cranny with a protective coating.

jaime, it's an open shop, and it's at rancho, about one block from ontario mills. If you want, you're more than welcome to come by and take a look at the progress, I could even meet you there, cruise with Tony after work, etc. I know your mav is gonna start soon, so seeing this one done may be cool.

Well, Stangwerks jumped on this QUICK. It looks like it's coming along great. Bodywork will likely be done this week, and primer next week, then complete disassembly of the car for futher work.

This is a very exciting project!!

I would have thought for the bucks you are spending they would have stripped it and sent it out for Media Blasting ... that's what Foose would have done! :)
