I vote fairmont. That one is super clean, they have a great suspension setup. The maverick looks like its going to have rust issues.

what do you want to do with the car that you keep?
if its cruiser then i would keep the maverick
if is a race car then the fairmont.
    if both then the maverick
does kentucky have any type of emmision testing? if so then i would think the maverick should be exempt from the testing. if not then dont worry about that.

i'd sell the fairmont, it just doesn't look as good as the maverick in my opinion. if the rims on the fairmont fit the maverick though i'd keep them, those are nice rims and would look really good on your maverick.

hmm i like both, the fairmont can take advantage of some of the fox body mustang suspension stuff, but i think the mav looks better, i'd prolly keep which ever is in the best shape

Keep both. Even if one sits for some years, you will regret it if you get rid one.

You will probably get more money out of the Fairmont, the fox body guys love them and are always looking for nice ones around here. That money will go a long ways in fixing up the Maverick, selling the maverick won't give you as mouch money to put into the Fairmont. But bith are unique cars and you don't see them all the time at shows or drag strips so you cant go wrong either way. If its a money thing then keep the maverick.

Iv'e had both, it would be much more cost effective to keep the Fairmont, due to the Fox body interchange. Plus you can put almost any engine in it, Big Block etc. Also the are more rare than the Maverick at rod runs and drag races etc.:thumbs2:

    my fairmont

OK well the fairmont is a 4 banger and the mav is a 302, the fairmont has a little rust but the mav is SOLID!!! only superficial rust. I"m leaning towards the maverick.

I agree w/ gasjunkie in post#6. I was lookin for a Fairmont-Zephr when I came across my Comet. Had I found a nice one that's what I'd be driving now. However I am satisfied w/ what I have. I do like the Fox platform and the rack & pinion steering all-ready installed.

That Fairmont looks really nice. Personally, I would keep that if I were in your situation.
