My fiancee has a 1976 Maverick we're in the process of fixing it. its not in bad conidtion it runs great its just inside cosmetic issues. The dash has had a dash pad on it since he bought it in 2005. BUT the dashpad is literally black from being burnt by the sun and has 4 or 5 different cracks. we are wondering if that is an alternative to putting a new dash pad on there or if there is a way to keep one from burning and cracking?
