3PG is releasing on August 1st Maverick and Comet torque boxes. They come in cold rolled steel and Galvanneal. Steel is thicker than factory on both types. Cold rolled is powdercoated in black gloss like the battery trays.

Answered my own question - did a search and found that the un-galvanized ones are 80 bucks a side :)

It's what ties the rocker panel into the front frame rails, a very common rust area.

I have to say, Joe really came through on this. This is something that a lot of people can use. I congratulate him sticking with it, and getting them made.
I will buy a set, even thought I don't really need them.

Look under the floorboards of your car and you will find them in the 4 corners - the front ones are in the frame/firewall/rocker area and the rear ones are in the frame/rocker/front spring mounting area

Kind of like really big complicated gussets :tiphat:

    powdercoating

The factory had uncoated torque boxes, they usually rotted from the inside out when the drain holes got plugged up with dirt and leaves and what not. The powdercoating gives them added protection, so that is less likely to happen. ;)
