My 77 Mav is finally running!!!! After weeks of trying I finally got my friend to help me. If he couldn't figure it out i was screwed. After 15 minutes of b.s. and a couple budlights he figured that my timing was way off.

When i set TDC and my rotor I had the rotor pointing toward the #1 cylinder and not the #1 plug on the cap. So we pulled the distributor out adjusted it and it fired right up.

Bummer for my friend because my next step was buy his 302 and put it in the maverick instead of my truck which is a later project.

Thanks for all your helpful advice :)
