Lube chart

    Hi, dose anybody have a lube chart for a 1972 Ford Maverick they can post. I live in a Apt., and can not work on my cars. So I need to take my Maverick in for a Oil and Lube job today. They will not let go into the pit , I be more than happy to give the guy some OJT on were to lube. But the boss of the place said no-way. :16suspect

    What do you need to know? How many quarts of oil? What size engine do you have in your Maverick?If you have a grease gun, I would grease any fittings you can find on the front end(steering/suspension). Half the garages around only claim to "lube". Don't depend on them.

    Tony, as a former shop manager of a very successful quick lube, let me tell you to please find a different shop to do business with. Quick lubes DO NOT like servicing old cars. They take longer due to many reasons, but mostly because of the unfamiliarity of the car by the employees. I would advise you to take the car to an ASE certified repair shop and have the oil change and lube done there.

    i'd find a different shop. one you can trust. i know in ventura, theres lots of nice older cars. i'd ask one where they take theirs.:)

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!

    i think the mecca of nice cars are in perris,ca the time my dad took me almost every house had a classic and we saw 3 mavs

    Unless the front end parts have been replaced there are darn few places to grease. Ford put them all together with "lifetime" lubrication.
