Display your cam specifics and basic engine setup then post a link. Let all of these "which cam sounds best" questions answer themselves. (Yes, I recognize it is just ANOTHER excuse to post sound clips and vids of our cars, but the key is to list the cam being used so others can compare the sounds.) My current cam specs are below in my signature. This video has current cam and setup with lots of idling. Next one has accelleration. This is my old Edelbrock Performer plus cam knockoff... http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/jpgs/44outsidemp3.mp3 Specs are Duration 262/272, Lift .448/.472, it was Summit cam SUM-3600 I am a fan of split duration cams. I like the engine to rock the car at idle, and the lope you get from it.
X2'S the exhaust on the stock windsor's are very weak, thus dual pattern cams make more power. Now when you get into performance heads they have MUCH better exhaust ports. So single pattern cams can work with them. Here's my maverick's old engine(75 shortblock, 289 head, edelbock intake, holley 4bbl, stock manifolds) Crane Cam H-260-2 Specs Dur:260/272 Lift:.456/.484 Stock single exhaust with a hollowed Cat. Lunati Voodoo, I think this is the cam kit I used (I'll have to look): http://www.summitracing.com/parts/LUN-61005LK/ That's an old video, from when I was putting the car back together, plus the idle was a little high.
not sure that is how I bought the car, I'm waiting to hear back from the guy I got it from I had a few questions for him about the motor.
Specs are Duration 262/272, Lift .448/.472, it was Summit cam SUM-3600 scooper, is this the cam in the first video you have up there, della walkabout? thanks!!
The walkabout and dyno are on the current roller cam. The third video is the summit cam. The one called outsidemp3.
