We went to a cruise-in tonite in the Mav. I didnt really hang around much as I am not into midnite auto shows, I cruise, but rumble thru all the time and talk to people. This guy stops me and wondered if I would be interested in some maverick parts. He said he has a real nice 74 4dr that he took the motor and trans out of. I said I would be interested in the whole car if he wanted to sell it. He said sure, and was glad that he found someone who wanted it, he didnt want to send the car to the crusher. It is a factory A/C car with power brakes. this is the first time I have run across a maverick that could actually be bought in this area for many many years. They just rotted up and died around here. 2 left that are still running the streets as daily drivers and I have put cards on both of um. The car I am getting is about 50 miles over in MO, near a huge lake. Guy said it was an 80k original car and he wanted the 302 and trans. I have a several 302's so I guess I will just get it back together and have a cruiser.

    SOunds good Dan...

I know what you mean about they find you...here I am getting ready to move and have a guy knock on my door. He wants to know if I am interested in a 1972 Comet Gt. Says its complete Texas car, no rust in the floors or the trunk area, it was set up to race...seat, cage, some rear end work. The 302 is out of the car but it runs and will go with the car.then says come get it for 200 dollars!!!!! Wife just looked at me and said "I am not PULLING a car to Wyoming".......so I didnt go look at it.

Hey Dan: nice find on the 74. But you mentioned having "several" 302's. interested in getting rid of any of them? I have a 6 cyl right now, but I'd like to switch over. So let me know, k?

David, I am more of a collector than seller. For some reason I think I need to have mucho of everything, cept money. While I think I am done buying 302's. I am not wanting to sell anything I have.
    Sorry
    Dan
