    I'm Looking For The Interior Door Panels for My 1972 Maverick. Also Would Like To Know Is To How To Install The Trunklid. Any Help Would Be Appreciated. Thanks!

    The trunk lid is pretty simple. basicly you have the two lifters on each side, and inside of them go two anchors that you place in side of them, so that the bolts hold when you slide the lid on. Then its a matter of lining up the gaps, side to side and frount to back. Also if you look on the left side of the trunk, on the mechanism there is a little lifter thing which will set your tension for the trunk lid. The higher it is the more spring the trunk will have to stay open and pop open when you unlock it. If its in the very bottom position it won't stay up at all. I have mine in the 2nd highest position.

    Mavericks can be Weapons

    Hi all. Reading Camtemple's post reminds me of two Maverick parts that are out to get you. If you don't get your jaw wacked by the trunk as it flys up, watch your head on that ---- hood latch. That thing is dangerous. :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

    yup.. lots of us have war wounds from the hood latch:mad: ... they smart... you only hit there 1-2 times b4 you smarten up:hmmm:

    i drilled another hole farther down the hood for the rod...that way it stands up straighter...frank...:bouncy:

    that hood latch got me one to many time and I took the d$*#& thing off.

    Maybe through time & evolution, that divot in the head will become a natural trait for identifying the Maverick / Comet owner. I know I have one!
