When the FIA introduced the Group B regulations for rallying in the early eighties, many of the major automakers created roadgoing homologation specials to satisfy the required minimum of 200 production copies. Group B cars ranged from the MG Metro 6R4 and Peugeot 205Ti16 to the Porsche 959 and Ferrari 288 GTO. Ford created its own Group B special to contest the World Rally Championship called the RS200. The 250hp mid-engined coupe only got to compete for one year before Group B was canceled at the end of 1986 following a spate of spectator deaths.

The RS200 pictured above has just come on the market in England and it in the two decades since its birth, it has accumulated a mere 540 miles. The cars documentation indicates that it may in fact be the very last RS200 ever built. If you're in the market for a rare machine, then give Drew Wheeler a call in the UK for details (click the "Read" link for his number). If you do happen to come into position of this little beast, please give us a shout and we'll send someone over on the first available flight to help you properly evaluate it.
