So I am removing the lower part of my dash last night for a stereo installation, and on a small tray screwed to the bottom of the dash is a yellow plastic box. I did a search on here and discovered that it is the "seatbelt box". My question is what will happen if I disconnect it and don't put it back? Anyone tried it?
    Thanks,
    HHJr

If you just disconnect it the car won't start. It can be bypassed, instructions are in the seatbelt interlock threads.

After it is bypassed...then you can remove the yellow box and zip-tie it's wiring harness out of sight

No real need to remove it. Just consider it a "quaint" treat for 1974. :D
