    lincoln versailles brake parts

before the winter snow kept me from going to the junk yards. they have a lincoln versailles, looked like new, had do idea why it was their. i know that the rear end will fit my mav. it has rear disk brakes. i would like to get the spindles and all needed parts from that car, if it is still their. the only thing is that they only made that car for a couple of years and will the parts cost too much. has anybody used parts from one to make the 4 to 5 lug conversion?

Believe it or not, the Lincoln Versailles rear discs are not very good. They look cool on your car, but are really not worth the expense and hassle. I'd go with Explorer or aftermarket rear discs if I were doing the conversion. Rear drums actually work fine on these cars. It's the front where discs are more crucial...

I bought a Versailles diff for my Mav, had a 3:25 with a rebuilt Traction-Loc installed in it and a conversion kit from Currie Enterprises to put 2003 Mustang Cobra rotors and calipers on it. I haven't bought the calipers and rotors yet, so obviously I haven't tried the setup yet, but I thought I'd let you know that the option to go this way was out there. John B.
