Hello all, my 1977 Comet's turn signals as well as interior lights suddenly up and stopped working except for the instument lights.
Looking at the fuse box I noticed a fuse labeled Turn and B/U as well as Cort and LPS were blown and would blow out every time I stick a new one in.
I am going to look at the schematics when I get a chance but does anyone have any extra insight to this? I am also remembering the names by memory so they may not be 100% accurate.

    Thanks
    Eric

First, take out the two screws holding the box to the dash and pull it out enough to look at the attached wiring. Check the condition and look for burned wires. Make sure the contact blades for the fuses are not corroded, as this is a common problem, and replace the fuses. Try the accessories again. If the problem is not right at the box, you'll have to check the circuit wires as there may be a short circuit somewhere. Wiring problems are most mechanic's nightmares and you have to take a systematic approach to finding the problem. Start at the most obvious and work out from there.

Do an eye inspection of all viewable wiring that pertains to that circuit. Past that an Ohmeter that checks continuity is your best bet. Like wes said start easy and follow in steps. You will find it. Just dont guess and throw parts at it. If you cant service it yourself take it to somebody who can. Good Luck

Thanks for the replies everybody, this weekend I'll give the box a look over and start going through the wiring.

try taking out your bulbs, putting in a fuse, then replace the bulbs one at a time and when the fuse blows that should be the wires you need to look at, first anyway.
