My friend has a ford with a c4 auto tranny, it had been leaking like crazy from the shift linkage.

I am 62 years old and although I am a car nut, I am not in anyway a ford expert. I thought I had to pull the tranny to fix the leak. The car was on the rack. A young man 36 years old (tom) stopped by to see my cars. Now he has a really built up 76 mav with a great sounding 302 (I have some rubber marks from first and second gear in front of my garage). Tom sez to me; "Pops all ya gotta do is drop the pan, pull the valve body and the shift linkage will slide out". Know what he was right. 5 hours later I had my friend's car leak free. The lesson learned; "listen to the kids"

By the way my friend is in the hospital getting radiation treatment for cancer and I wanted to have his car fixed so I could suprise him by taking home in his baby.

    Widomski1,
You are a good friend. If there were more in the world like you we wouldn't have the problems we do.
