So....does that mean if I have Factory Buckets in my 73 it was an option and they are LDO? They feel good.

Luxury Decor Option. ALL LDO cars came with bucket seats, 2-door and 4-door. Bucket seats were an option on all 2-door Mavericks except 1970. In the later years, even a 4-door could get optional bucket seats. If you have buckets in your 1973 Maverick...they could be the optional buckets. LDO buckets were ONLY available in LDO cars.
I don't know how correct that is, but I've had 2 blue sets. They have to be one of the more comfortable seats, but I think they are ugly.
It was taken directly from a 1973 Ford publication, but they are not always 100% accurate. The same tan restriction was listed for '74 LDO, but not in '75-up LDO.
That's all I'm saying. I have 2 order forms, same year, different options for different dates (months), some options and colors were added and some deleted. Also, I think it was 75 that the head rest changed, maybe 76? Someone gave me a set of dark blue seats, they were ldo, but with a headrest that was more of a bench seat style.
Now im confused but my seats are not ugly, they are blue but not for long. I will have them recovered. They look very nice.
These are LDO seats, 72 to be exact(just like mine). I agree with you they are nice the door panels are unique to the LDO also, and if you notice the car is a 72 but it has the later 73 and up style door handles, this was an LDO exclusive for 72 also. The only complaint I have about my seats is the later ones have the handle in the side of the seat to unlatch it to fold it forwards, the early ones have it down on the bottom.
Here are the LDO seats in blue...the only other color you culd get this style of seat in besides tan. These were in my 1974 LDO. I have owned (6) LDO Mavericks/Comets. The 1974 was the only blue LDO I had. I believe the 1975-up LDO's had a different style seat. The seat (pictured) if very comfy. The blue (pictured) is very rare interior color. Seems most LDO's were tan.
