Thanks guys, it was a good win for me, about 40 cars, 6 or 7 rounds and I was actually racing well consistently(yes there is a tone of surprise there). I even went a 12.650 on my 12.65 in one of the rounds. The only luck round was the final when the guy red lighted against me. He was a 15 second car so I got to sit back, watch the red bulb and make my final pass knowing I had won, very cool. This is the same motor that I have run for 3 years, and it was old when I started driving it. We have had a new motor for it on an engine stand since last winter, but it is running too good. We just put new tires on it, a little smaller than the previous ones and my times got even better. Even in 90 degree heat, it just kept running the number. Previously it would slow down into the 12.70s. We experimented with different octance fuels and found that it despises anything higher than regular gas, even midgrade makes it sluggish. Everyone pulls for the Maverick at the track, it is the same track that we got married at so the announcer always gets in to it.
