key lock cylinder

    well fuel pump, alternator, gas tank, etc etc
    lost my keys and i need to put a new key cylinder. NO the idea of rekeying the car is too expensive for me (poor guy) i wanna put a new key/lock cylinder in that car. anybody can tell me how to remove the old one? i heard i have to drill somehwhere but dunno where. anyone please help? and NO, im not a car thief!!!

    Did I miss something?

    Maybe I missed a subsequent post by you, but Craig Selvey suggested that you remove the door lock and take it to a locksmith to have a key made for it. That should also fit your ignition. If your ignition is broken, I don't know what to tell
    you. I have replaced them but not on my Comet so I am not
    sure what is involved.
    As for the making of a key, Selvey say's it cost about $15 when he
    had this done.
    Easier than changing ignition switches for sure.

    You can't remove the ignition without the key, unless you want to drill/hack/hammer the dickens out of the old one.
