I did a mod on the rear valence panel and tail lights last week, and just wanted to know what your thoughts are. I like the backup lights, and they are much brighter, and the look is different. I took the clear lens out of the stock tail light lenses, cut up an old lens, and put a red lens in the hole. Here are some pics, so let me know what you think.:)
    Thanks,
    Earl

I don't care for the lower reverse lights, but wow, sweat looking ride anyhow.

I like how the whole rearend looks darker and not "broken apart" by the contrasting white now.

Perhaps smaller reverse lights would have worked better, but overall it looks better then stock IMO

Thanks. I was worried about it being a bit too busy under there, with the exhaust being so close. Thanks for the input.:)

I thought of it being too busy as well, I do like the idea of smaller reverse lights however, that may take care of the busy-ness. I really like the all red taillights!

They are a bit large, but I have the parts to put the car back to stock. I'm gonna leave it for a while, and see if it grows on me. If not.....out it goes!

I love the all red tail lights, and agree with having brighter reverse lights, But...I don't like the look of them, they look like they were just plopped there. Have you considered Mustang ones? they are smaller, and can be found pretty cheap at swap meets.

Dave; yes, I have, and I might get some and put them in another valence panel that I have, just to see the diff. Thanks for the input. Seems most of you think I could have chosen smaller lights, and I tend to agree. Thanks for the input. Now to get online and see what is out there!

Like Frank says, let's see a pic with the tag in place. I like the different look. I wonder if there is someway you could cut out piece of the bezel that was used as a separator for the original tail light - I.e., a solid red light in a fully open bezel. :thumbs2:
