junkyard gears?

    1971 2 door maverick,302,c-4, 1984 chevy truck,396, 38.5 super swampers, 8inch lift
    i have an 8" rearend in my maverick and was wanting to upgrade my gears in it from 3.00 to something around th 3.55-3.73 range. is there any car i might be able to find in a junkyard that would have these gears stock? thanks

    Some Mustang II 's had 3:40's and a traction loc was another option. They're rare but some did have them.

    ....and some Mustang II's had 3.55's. I found a '78 that had them. Wasn't lucky enough to get a trac-loc, though
