jacking up front end

    hey guys!!! was wondering if anyone could tell me a good place to put jack so i can get both front wheels off the ground.I usally put the jack on the side by the door but would rather jack up both sides at the same time. thanks

    Jack it up by the very front cross member that the strut rods bolt to (beefy steel part under and just behind the radiator). That's where I jack all mine up and have never had a problem. Be sure to put jack stands under the frame rails before getting under the car.

    thanks alot jamie, going to bend tabs over on brake pads tomorrow hopefully it stops the clicking sound (driving me nuts).

    Yea, god forbid someone not have enough common sense to get under a car only supported by jacks, because they saw a picture of one being supported by jacks with absolutely no one around it while the jack stands were used on another car for an hour...

    Here's the picture again... You can even see the other big jack I used to put it up on the jack stands because the little jacks (which, together were not even supporting a quarter of the weight they were rated at) didn't go high enough... :rolleyes:

    Now, lets see pictures other members have posted with everything from tree stumps, to blocks of wood, to cinder blocks holding up their cars while they actually ARE working on it. Of course not. LOL...
