The 74-77 models didnt have front valances, the 69.5-72 had valances with smaller openings, and the 73's had valances with longer openings. Any front valance from a 69.5-73 Maverick or Comet 2 or 4dr will work. Hope this helps you out.

just an FYI for the late model mav owners..an early valance will bolt right on to a 74-77 with no mods. should you want a spoiler without changing to small bumpers

I found a 73 front valance and the guy was a real maverick guy, and he said the 73 WILL NOT work on the 72.. can someone tell me if they have put a 73 on a 72 w/o mods??

    thanks
    chaz.

The hole in the 73's is bigger to clear the front bumber supports.

The 73 will bolt up but the turn lamps under the bumper will be sitting out in the open where on the 70-72 Valances they are at the edge of the opening.

i just bolted up a 70' valance to my '76 fenders and it sits about 1'' too far foward and messes up the line around the wheel opening. it looks like im going to have to drop the valance and re-drill the factory holes so it sits further back. other than that the 3 holes them self on each side were perfectly spaced from one another so all 3 matched up with a fender hole.
