Let me start off by saying the trip to the shop was a trip all by itself. Master cylinder took a shit and heater core Anywho, got to the shop and installed the rear disc set up using the Brackets from daymotor sports GM Metric calipers and jeep rotors. Works good. I still have to get an adjustable prop valve and line lock installed. I took pictures and will do a tech article in the near future. It wasn't too bad, but it wasn't easy either. The biggest problem was the brackets had to be gound until the pads lined up with the rotor(to tall). Pedal effort is not perfect as I still have to get a new master(rear seal leaking) I added and rebleed system to TRY them out. I will also be adding a set of newer Mustang GT Calipers in the frt. I will be looking for a mastercylinder I can swap that will work as a bolt in with minimum mods.I have a few ideas so................
1badmav, congrats . . . looks like more and more people are looking to put rear disc brakes. Sounds like a great mod, looking forward to that 'tech article'.
1badmav glad to hear there on. When you do the write up will you add part numbers and the places where you bought the parts. Will the GT calipers bolt up with out mods? Do you have granda front brakes on it now?
First, The GT mustang calipers fit but you have to make a shim and an L bracket to bolt them to Maverick/granada spindles. Robert I was unable to put mine that far back as my car still has leaf springs not a nice 4 link setup(envy) When I get pics you will see what I am saying.
