Hi everybody.I recently finished putting a 302 into my maverick but the wiring is kind of screwy to say the least. When I try to start it,it will only stay running as long as the key is held on.It also melted my solenoid turning it over but I think that might have been because I had the wrong firing order and it was straining the starter. The fusible link had blown before I did the swap and I had repaired it with an inline fuse holder. But during the swap a few of the wires in that general area have magically been cut.Where does the fusible link go to coming from the solenoid?Does anyone have some sort of simplified diagram or explanation of the wiring in the voltage regulator/solenoid area?Any help would be extremely appreciated,I'm in MA and I need to get this thing going before winter.Thanks.
