So suggesting the starting of a new subforum with this thread, the wheelie thread, and the invisible radiator thread was too off topic? I still think it is a good idea to start a sub-forum that includes all the "infamous" threads that tend to go on forever. Kinda like a bunch of "stickies" in their own sub-forum.
Then theirs the elusive shelby comet last spotted going west? on hwy 75? But i't all fun, this is a good site, lets just sit back and make comet's, on are maverick's
You've peaked my curiosity, I'd like to read the invisible radiator thread, but can't seem to find it.
If they are locked down, it might not be as tempting for some to create stupid threads like those. In other words, let the stupid create them on their on, don't give them a place to be stupid. Then, if they're stupid enough, put them in their own thread like that to showcase how NOT to have a tread go!
It would have to be set up so that nobody can actually create a thread in it. It can only be placed there by mods or Stefan after it has achieved a certain status. I see no reason to lock it down. The beauty of these threads is how they lie dormant for a year or two, then some newbie does a search for "radiator" and POOF--alive again.
Maybe the thread can come back up if someone posts on one of the threads that is in it? Sounds like a forum within a forum
huh... clearing some of the pointless threads would make using the search bar a little bit easier.... now when i look for brake shoes i wont get everthing with shoe in it.
