Not sure they were any bigger or if it is the angle of the photo. :)

I was talking to my brother about the Maverick my mom bought new in 1970. When the Grabber came out later that year and 71, he had thought about getting a Grabber hood and spoiler for Mom's car. He swears he remembered looking thorough a Hot Rod or Car Craft and seeing an ad for an aftermarket "Grabber style" spoiler for Mavericks ("Spoil your car"), and that they were larger than the factory spoiler. He never acted on his Grabber idea for Mom's car, but a few years later, he considered it again, but looked through car mags from that time and never found the ad again.

He can't swear to his memory, but think about it, The Maverick was a hot seller, and alot of companies were known to make aftermarket parts for popular new cars.....once it became obvious the Maverick's "popularity" was more economic than sporty, maybe they didn't sell many, and simply quit making them.

Either that, or color, light reflection and angle of view just makes some look larger than others

I have a few, that I've removed from different cars over the years, and they've always been the same.

All factory spoilers are the same. Never seen an aftermarket one.

I agree that in pics some do look larger than others. I've noticed it many times but assumed it was just the pic, lighting, color maybe??
