77 wiring is a little different from the 70 (69.5). but what exactly are you trying to change on the inside? if it's the wiring youll prolly have to remove the whole dash wiring and put it in the 70. not that bad of a job, it just sounds like it is :)

Are you planning on using the Duraspark ignition from the 77?

We want to keep the inside of the car stock but are wondering if we have to swap the wiring harness from the 77 so that we can hook up the duraspark ignition. Can we just isolate the specific wires and connectors associated with the duraspark without having to mess with the whole harness? Also-we swapped the power disc brake system which made us swap out the pedal/steering column bracket. Any advice on how to get the 70 steering wheel back in. The bracket is different.

You can use the 70 brake pedal if you either go manual disc, OR
if you relocate the pin in the top of the pedal to the same spot as the 77 pin... OR
You may be able to take the power brake pedal and arm out of the 77 bracket to install it in the 70 bracket. You will have to lay them side by side to check it out.

The DS ignition system can be wired into the 70 wiring harness without any problems.

Myself and others have posted detailed instructions in previous threads.
You would be best to do a search and find them.
My memory suxs, so I would have to search out my own posts to tell you how to do it!
When I made the posts, it was within 24 hrs of me converting a car to DS.
