unless your engine block has been bored, or the crank case been turned, then all of your bearing and ring sizes should be standard size (STD). and '86 engines are odd as they use flat top pistons so you have to watch valve to piston clearence. and if you're going to be running a roller cam, be sure to use the correct distributor gear.

    hope this helps some :)

Why the new thread? I believe the 302 HO was rated at 200HP in 1986.

First check you piston to bore clearances. If the block needs to be bored then the pistons will need to be replaced. Nothing special about the bearings. An auto parts store or machine shop can provide everything you need.

Your car looks like that "12 second" one that was on e-bay awhile back.'86s use true flat top forged TRWs(no valve reliefs)and also use truck type(bad) heads.Get some E7 heads(87-up),and if it is still an EFI motor, you'll need an '85 GT dizzy and cam gear eccentric if you're gonna carb it.'85 was only year for roller cam/carb.Aftermarket also makes those parts to carb an EFI roller motor.
