Still a work in progress, but I have no doubts it will be a BEAST!!! Like an idiot, I failed to get pictures of the roll cage, exterior of the car, etc, etc. I was more interested in how he squeezed that thing in there. Turbo is currently out while he does some work on the engine bay. Oh, and the 4th photo is just one of the tools he has in the shop...a 5-axis cnc machine that is currently set up to port ls heads. Also in the shop is a 209 mph N/A Texas Mile contender, and several other record holder cars. Fun trip, and all I had to do to see this was buy a transmission from him several years back, and give him some windshield trim today. Also got to see a couple winning engines of JEGS Engine Masters competition.
He has shaved to towers all the way down, and has some aftermarket shock setup. I think he said the engine came out of a camaro. Manifolds on backwards with all the turbo and intercooler plumbing in front of the engine.
Scott, who's shop? Did ya'll notice the kinked hose in the pic Rusty reposted? I have used that black fabric covered hose and had problems with it kinking too...
It was just disconnected from something and pushed back out of the way. I think it plugs into that empty fitting at the bottom right side. This is at SAM (School of Automotive Machinists) in Houston. One of the teachers there is a Maverick guy, and a member of this forum.
that is a reluctor wheel for abs. they are probably using a wheel hub from a car that has 4 wheel abs.
