i blew up a straight 6

    hey everyone it is possible to blow up a straight six she still runs but shes having a hard time i was just gunna drive the motor till i got my 302 in it but it didnt last. left work with a rod knocken and i mean knocken. figured d just drive her home. about 2 miles to go. and i lost a bunch of power. by the time i got h0me the rod was louder then the car. got home turned the key of and immedetly my radiator gave and oil and water were coming out of it. i laughed a little and said its time :bananaman . man those engines can take a serious beating. my 302 has a front sump. thats correct right

    i don't know what your 302 has, but the one you need is a front sump.:rolleyes:

    My memory says trucks were rear sump, cars were front?

    Glad it made it home!!! I had an old DOdge Lancer that threw a rod right through the side of the block.

    My '71 F250 did the same thing. Lost oil pressure at 3,500 RPM and ...CLUNK...! Made it several miles back home with a hole in the block. Nice huge cloud of white smoke behind it. :rofl2:
