I last ran the car sometime last year. ran great no issues. i did a bunch of work all this year and now the car is not getting fuel. i hooked a gas jug directly to the inlet of the pump, the hose going to the carb is free to shoot fuel out and as I turn the engine over no fuel is coming out. this is very odd. as there was no sign when it was ran. carburetor is rebuilt and the car ran great on the rebuilt carb.
if it adds to this, when i poured fuel down the carb it sound like it was misfiring/running rough for the second it ran.

Probably the ethanol fuel deteriorated and glued the reeds in place... Could try squirting some Gumout in both ports and see if it will free up, but unless pump is almost new I'd replace it...

Yup, they don't like sitting with 10% ethanol onboard.

Ok good to know. I was JUST going to try your suggestion but I wanted to try getting it going one more time and it finally got going. I've been restarting it several times and it starts right up now. What are the reeds anyway?
