with the engine and everything still in place.....if i do the panels one side at a time, do i need to brace the frame and all that stuff....or can i just cut out and replace with new metal?

also the apron panels from Mustangs Unlimited...... will they fit in the maverick?

is there a place i can get apron panels new.....i will cut up a junkyard maverick if i have to ....but too much work...

    thanks

I replaced the battery side apron with the engine in the car ... I used an NOS part ... they are not available repro and mustangs won't work.

Mustang panels are not even close enough to modify. The front aprons are not too bad but the rear ones will need a stripped compartment including the steering box.

No need to replace the entire panel if only a little bit is rusted. Most rust can be fixed with leaving the aprons on. If not....maybe the car is too far gone.

The hardest part of replacing the apron panels is finding good replacement apron panels.

If you are in Arizone....keep looking. If you can find a rust free Maverick....even if it is for $2000.....you will be miles ahead.
