How did you find your maverick? When looking online around here there is only 1... it's here in town too but it has a 6cyl in it and it would be literally impossibal for me to do a swap... I looked a few places online and didn't see anymore. Anywhere else you guys can think of online or offline ot check?

eBay! Some of the nicest Mavericks I have seen have been on eBay ... that's where my 71 Grabber came from ..

both mine found me. kinda fell into my lap. i always figured that mavericks were like women... if you go lookin for one, you may not like what you end up with. but when the right one comes along, you'll know it.

There was a nice looking one over in Missouri but it sold too fast :(
There is a maverick uptown that I see parked everyday... when I actually turn 16 (this month) I am thinking about going up and leaving a note on the car asking if he wants to sell :p
Although I dunno how I could figure out if it's a 6cyl or a 302... the short VIN's from back then won't come up in any online DB I look through..

I found the Stallion at a car corral at a big swap meet in Canfield, Ohio. The 4 door was through Dennis.

I "found" mine when my dad bought it from an old man in 1981 (23 years ago). I've had it ever since...:D

    Sold my 1971 Grabber
First saw mine current Mav at a cruz night. It ended up being a friend of mine that owned it. Told him if he was ever going to sell it to let me know. 2 years later he did and I was able to buy it.

My first two were owned by family friends and they were moving on to newer cars. I was in the right place and bought them.

I found my 73 Comet when I was going on vacation. It was parked at a gas station with a for sale sign on it. I tried to get hold of the owner for 2 days (what a way to start my vacation). The 74 Comet 4dr came to my work, the owner wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. The 70 Maverick Grabber came to my work, the owner wanted to know if I wanted to buy it. The 72 Maverick Sprint came to me via an email from the owner, wanting to know if I wanted to buy it.
They are out there. If you are looking to hard, you won't find one. When you least expect it, up jumps a Maverick or a Comet. Be patient, it will happen.....

Picked mine up from my brother when I was 15, 400 bucks, my mom drove it home. Restored it during highschool.

If I can remember to, there is a Comet on a trailer back home for sale, I'll stop and take a look for you. Its actually on the road that runs around BWI, for you fellow Maryland people out there.
