Does someone know if the 1970's Mavericks came with a fan shroud? I took the shroud off my '73 Comet but it's for a V8. I tried to swap the radiators also. Still though, the engine in the mav is a stright 6. Nothing matches up.

So i'm guessing the '70's didnt have fan shrouds then? I want to try using some hard foam insulation & fiberglass and make my own. I saw somewhere, sometime, I think in a magazine, maybe on t.v. someone did that. lol. should be interesting seeing how I've never worked with fiberglass before. EVER.

One of the main things you need to know about working with Fiberglass is safety, safety, safety,... where some sort of filtered air mask, even the cheap throw aways would be better than nothing. You do NOT want to breath that **** into your lungs. Also cover all exposed skin.

Other than that it is just making a mold of what you want the thing to look like, cover the mold with some form of release agent so the fiberglass doesnt stick to the mold and lay on the a layer of the fiber cloth and paint it with the resin, another layer of clothe, another layer of resin until you ge the thickness/strength you want/need... It's not really hard to make something out of fiberglass if you are a little creative and can spend the time and be patient.

I would find the part number for your radiator either the OE number or the aftermarket number and then see if it is the same as any Mustang. Then look for a shroud for that Mustang thats applicable. There seems to be quite a few Mustang shrouds out available ...

Thanks for the heads up about the fiberglass! I didnt know it was so hazardous to work with. Also, I'll check those numbers out. Thanks again.
