I have a 73 ford maverick that i want to restore. It has a 302 with edelbrock intake and 600 cfm carb, magnetic trigger distributor, msd 6a. accell super stock coil. what type of cylenderheads are best for street(3000 RPM) applications. can I install a cam with the motor bolted down. which cam should i use? I'm on a budget and must complete one project at a time. Any power secrets or tricks to getting more horsepower? I appreciate any help!:slap:

You can, but you'll have to remove the radiator to have enough room. Obviously you need to have the intake off so you can pull the lifters & pushrods. I find it easier to guide the cam with the motor upside down and the oil pan off.
