I want to replace this piece on my 70. Someone said a Mustang piece will fit if you do wome minor trimming, but I don't remember what year Mustang part interchanges.
    Virginia Classic Mustang's catalog lists:
    - 65-66 w/clips installed
    - 67-68 wclips
    - 69-70, and
    - 71-73 w/clips

    Anyone know which one fits?

    New subject:
I was picking through the Mavericks at a local boneyard and noticed that only the driver's side wiper has the rubber bushing/grommet/whatever. I grabbed a couple thinking I'd put one on the passenger's side, but it looks like one doesn't belong there. Is that stock?

    Thanks. Tom

I have a catalog from Daniel Carpenter Mustang Reproductions that also has a few rubber pieces for Mavericks , including the firewall to hood seal. They are listed for 1973-77 Mavericks. Not sure if it would fit a 1970 ( maybe different hole pattern). Can't find an e-mail address for them but I do have their phone numbers: 704-786-0990 or to order: 800-637-8264. Good luck.

    You're correct...

You observe very well. The grommet only came on the driver's side from the factory. I remember a post from a while back, and while there were lots of theories, no one had the real reason. I figure you could put one on the passenger's as well.
