Hood clearnce?

    Has any one done this set up? i need to know how much more hood clearnce i will need. I have a rpm air gap intake with an edelborck 600 cfm and a 4" air cleaner.

    if your air cleaner is a drop base you should only need about 1 inch more hood clearance. if you dont have a drop base you will probly need about 2.5 inchs more clearance.

    I've got a Air Gap on mine with a Demon Carb and Ford Air cleaner, no clearance problems. Of course I checked clearance with modeling clay on top of air cleaner.

    i have an edelbrock 600cfm and a k&n x-stream thats 14x4in with a 1/2in riser base on the air filter and it sticks out the hood about 1/2in so if you put a drop base on the air cleaner im sure you can fit it under the hood
