    here are some pics. of the bars i made today. the tube still needs to be welded onto the nuts but you get the idea. i think they are like the. "caltracs"....frank...

    strange you should say that...my bride... just told me not more than two mins. ago :yup: that when i build my new shop to make it big enough to put a "counter top" like that in it.:hmmm: i would have thought she would have suggested to put in a "work bench" :huh: ...frank...:bouncy:

    Well, gee, Frank. That's because she doesn't wnat to mess up your routine. If you're used to working on a dining room table, then it makes sense to put one in the shop.:yup:

    she is the only one that thinks i need a "new shop". i am happy working where i am now...i have...frig...stove..running water...heat and air and indoor plumbing...is't the best "shop" i have ever had...what do i need a new one for :huh: ...frank...:bouncy:
    p.s....mike, thanks for the "spring plates" it made the job a lot smoother. i will get mine back to you.(i know, like the doors).

    Looks pretty good to me. On the leaf spring, are you using the stock front bushing? The Cal tracks have a 2 piece metal bushing to replace the rubber one.

    i am going to use the "stock" bushing first. if it gives any trouble i will get the alum. one. hopefully it want see enough "hits" to need replacing :rolleyes: ...frank...:bouncy:
    p.s. does someone have a pic. and price of the alum. bushing?

    the best engine shop i had was my wifes kitchen...i put the short block together right next to the kitchen table and left it on the engine stand there for 2 months...

    she was mad at me..but i told her i was not about to put the engine outside and let it rust....


    by the way...those traction bars look sweet....did you make any blueprints??
