I am completely ecstatic right now, just finished putting my mav around with the new holley 4bbl, and i must say, it runs SO MUCH SMOOTHER than that old motocraft even post rebuild of the damned thing!. That and i finally figured out where my nasty vaccum leak was at! The neck on the PCV valve going to the P/s valve cover was cracked, and i happened to get too close with an arm and got sucked to it while trying to figure out what the hell was still wrong with the car! Two problems knocked out with one stone. It has me suprised the sheer amount of power that the 2bbl-4bbl swap made... realyl opens up and takes advantage of that torker 289!

I'll have pics up thisafternoon if i don't fall asleep first!

Thanks guys for all your suggestions and tips on the carb choice, though it's not as pretty as a chrome edelbrock, for a 20.00 carb + 30.00 rebuild kit, i'm pleased to no end!

I knew you were going to be happy when you got it right. I've never had any luck with Edlebrock carbs, the last one I tried was a practically new carb and left me stranded on the side of the interstate within 2 miles. Edlebrock's have great throttle response, but Holley's are much more reliable better working carb's IMO.
