Hi, had a 71 Maverick 25 years ago. Now have a 74' with 26,000 miles, a lil' 200, and a rebuilt card that gushes gas. Hope you guys can tell me about where, how, and how many, ballbearings go in this Carter 1 barrel. Thanks, glad to be aboard.

Thanks. Looks like you have a lot of cool rides. Hope you'all can help me get this silly lil car going. Frankly, it's got drums in the front, and it's really expensive and hard to find them. Well, thanks for the "hello". Travis

Hope ,Im not in the wrong area, I am new to this. However, I was told a ballbearring may have come out of my Carter 1 barrel on my 74' Mav., where does it go, how to I put it in? I bought a rebuild kit, and it has no instructions. The carb IS anew rebuilt one, put on by the preious owner.A mechinic told me when my car "hiccuped" the ball bearing must have flew outt. I had cleanned the bowl before I learned this, must have lost the ball. Thanks for your help Travis

Travis. If you have misplaced one of your balls, you may be better off just swapping out that carb for a rebuilt or a new carb.

It may save you LOTS of heachace later on down the road.

I say that because I started out like you, and ended up just swapping out carbs and problem was gone.

By the way, welcome to the board. Hope we can help you out here.:Welcome:
