    Hi everyone! me and my husband just traded and got a 1970 ford maverick today! the guy we got it from said its a grabber.....we're trying to decode the vin...is there anyother way of telling?

    Welcome aboard, you came to the right place to get answers. I beleive the best way to be sure on the 70 model is to get a Marti Report.

    70 mav, 71 grabber, 73 Comet, 2004 f-250 crew cab diesel, 2001 f-250, 2004 explorer, 2007 Gold Wing trike.
    The vin on the 70 Grabber does not specify wether it is a Grabber or not. They started to differentiate in 71. However if you can post some pics someone on here may be able to confirm it for you.
