    1973 Comet
Hello everyone. I just purchased a 1973 Mercury Comet and am really getting in to it. Never had a "classic" car before.

Question - I used to own a 1974 Comet way back in 1974 and it had a regular glove compartment with a cover as I recall.

This 1973 Comet does not have a glove compartment with a cover but rather just an open, empty area. Is this right for a 1973?

Also, the far left and right vents are not the rectanglar ones I've seen pictured for this year. Rather, they are round with built in leaf-like inserts and rotate around and around. The ones in the middle of the dash are however the rectangle ones. Is this stock?

    Thanks

    Lar

    :Welcome: to the board:

That is all normal. The change over from the package tray dash to the glove box was a mid year thing in '73.
