    Hey everyone my names nick tolon, im 16 and my dad just got me a 72' Maverick for my birthday =] im pretty pumped for it. I have a couple questions tho, 1.)are the hard to maintain? and 2.) are parts for them rare to find?

    Welcome to the madness.They are simple cars and simple to maintain becuase of their simplicity but the car is 30+ yrs old.So it will need some tlc.Parts arent too difficult unless you are looking for body/trim stuff.no one re-pops the panels in steel other than the rear quarters.However you have arrived at the center of the universe for all things maverick/comet so dig in and enjoy...

    thats a relief. haha. well as far as i know of, on a count of my dad living in North Carolina and me living in Pennsylvania, all thats he's told me so far is that it needs a new hood, driver side door window, and a windshield. He said the rest is a surprise.

    As surprises go gettin a car is a good one.check the parts for sale section here on the forum,you may find what you need...
