Whats up guys my name is Jake, i picked up a 72 Comet last spring and I already have big plans for her! Looking forward to getting to know you guys. The comet has 16000 original miles on the number matching 302. Only problems with the car are: I don't like the blue interior, half of the front grill is missing, and original owner accidentally backed a car into the right side and put a nice dent on the roof. But all in all its in good shape ;]

That is a nice looking car. Don't touch it. Just drive it like it is.

Seldom will you find that old of a car in that nice of shape.

Yes, a couple dings here and there, and a touch of rust, but MAN that is in good shape!

give it a tune up and drive the living SNOT out of it!

Welcome to the board, and THANK YOU for those awesome pictures! :thumbs2:

    welcome
looks like a really nice car.
you can see the car was repainted recently. they sprayed the exhaust tips and the tires a little when they painted it. I like the color and wheel package looks good that way. kinda original just cleaned up nicely (y)

I think if my car was that nice when I got it I wouldnt have done half of the stuff Ive done to my car so far :Welcome:

the paint might actually not be finished? maybe you can wet sand it to a nice smooth surface and buff it? I could see the differences in texture on the side. but until I looked close I couldnt tell. the chrome on it is blinding shiny though they did a super good job on the bumper and that gas cap has got to be the cleanest one Ive ever saw.

    really nice driver overall
    what are your plans?
clean driver original custom race car? sleeper street racer? I thought sleeper on mine when I first got it but that didnt last long lol
