When I unloaded the yellow mav a couple of weeks ago off the trailer and parked where I wanted it I pulled the emergency brake to keep the car in place. It has no engine and tranny. When I decided to move the car later that day i went to release the emergency brake and the handle released but the brakes did not release. Does anyone know how to get the brake to disengage? I sure would hate to have to drag it with my truck to move it.

Tap the lever that is pulled by the cable in the opposite direction from which it is pulled. Good luck
A BFH might be called for after that

Mine did the same thing a while back. Like Bob said, try to tap the pull bar, under the car back. Might need to soak it in some PB Blaster a while first. Mine was the cable where it comes up under the dash to the handle, it had slipped off the pulley and when I pulled it, it jammed between the pulley and bracket, so it wouldn't hurt to check that, also...

A lot of times its the cable back at the wheels which likes to rust up and stick. If you dont want the cables, cut them off right at the drums.
