    ok my name is charles i own a 2003 ford ranger fx4 level II. with many mods.

    but this is not y i am here. lol i'm on ranger forums for that beast.
    i am here cuz my brother in-law just bought a 1974 Ford Maverick. he didn't know when he bought this he would be deploying to afganistain and leaving his twin sons and my sister home. he will miss their first christmas and b-day. i want to do some things he had planed to his car. i know how helpful forums are i'm on like 12 and a moderator on 3 and i work for one. i'm hoping u guys and gals can help me out. now onto the pics of his car. thank u.

    he wants to restore it u know keep the inside stock but he wants a 302 in it. i was thinking of finding a exploder with a 5.0. taking it out with wires computer and including the dash gauges and fabin with fiberglass a new gauge holder in the maverick. is this possible. and any ideas where to start to restore this for him i want it to be a comlete secret kinda thing.

    it has a 200 6 cylinder in it atleast thats what he said

    thanks and i have the skill i have a 4.6 cobra stang supercharged engine i am swaping my 4.0 in my ranger for. :)

    Only thing I would say is make sure you can finish whatever you start before he returns. He might not be happy to come home and find his car disassembled in ways he never imagined. Good intentions are nice but not enough. Might be better to just do the V8 conversion with carb. Do the mounts, radiator, exhaust,... Seems like plenty. Just a thought.
