just sayin hello and lookin for some cool ideas what to do with the maverick i am building for my daughter
Howdy and The imagination and budget are the only limiting factors on what you can do with these cars. From my own experience with my daughters, dont put alot of money in it for now. Make it safe and road worthy. Hopefully she will treat it better than my 2 did.
Thanks, and yes i agree i am doing what i can without spending too much ,the great thing is that both my kids are out in the garage with me every time we work on the car.I am leaving the 200 six in an i am redoing the interior from that lovely green, paint, wheels a stereo and maybe a header cam combo just to get a little more out of that six. But it is a lot of fun with the kids helping.
For a young driver, I would upgrade the brakes and switch to some sort of reliable electronic ignition. Kids these days aren't usually familiar with older technology. I'd want good brakes and something that is going to start and get her back home. Welcome to the board. Seth
hi all, I'm the new james comet guy. This is my first post and just want to say hello to all. I have read some of the post in the last couple of days and have learned a few things and hope to learn even more. I love to drive muscle cars but I am not to knowledgeable regarding all the technical stuff. I will be asking questions to learn more. I have a 1971 mercury comet 2 door with automatic shifter on the floor that has been sitting in my driveway about 3 years now. I just recently deceided to restore it and my mechanic has it in his shop. Does anyone here know about how much this car weighs? Thank you! jc
