I'm the "noob". Right now most of my concern is for "our" ( my 17 yr old son is currently the driver and "owner" of the '77)Mav' 2 dr,250 ci, super little rust.. When he has saved enough to buy another car the Mav reverts to me and i am chomping at the bit. While he is driving the mav i am currently building/modding an '89 accord, Lxi coupe. This car was purchased on e-bay and is rust free and i drove it from Boston to south-central KY with no problems nor has it given me any trouble since. Damn, I love e-bay!!!! Plans for the Honda include a B series engine swap down the line, right now I am working on the interior so i can install my Clarion head unit, Polk Momo components and sub, and the 2 Precision Power art series amps. I have just purchased a welder so i can close up the holes from shaving the car ( all but the door handles so far, so to be shaved also). Now that I have a welder a header and exhaust system are soon to be. thank you all for this forum and the sharing of sometimes desparately needed info. greg aka:bigbbrat41 ( should be bigbrat( the kid is the little brat) but got in a hurry when i registered and typoed)
:evilsmile the "ricer" is a kick to drive AND was purchased after a year and a half of trying to buy the maverick. the owner is a guy that i work with and the grandson of the original owner. i got tired of waiting and being turned down. 3 months after i bought the honda (e-bay $610.) he offered me the Maverick (half way pissed me off). I will work on getting pics on to cardomain.
