hey guys! was thinking about replacing heater hoses on my 77 it has a inline 6 but the hoses look like they go through the wall right to the heater core and if they do can i just cut back as far as i can and add some new hose to the old hose. old is getting kinda weak at water pump

If you don't have A/C ... yes .. they go through the firewall and connect to the heater core. If you have A/C the the heater core connections come through the firewall and you can connect from the engine compartment.

If you don't have A/C and pull your heater box ... you might a well replace the heater core while you have it all apart ..

on a non A/C car the new core is about $40 bucks. while the box is out you can reach up in the cowl and clean any leaves or trash out. (y) new hoses and clamps and you are good for another 100,000miles :yup: ...frank...:bouncy:
